“Ugh..” You grumbled, leaning back on the bench you sat on. “All of my friends have a boyfriend. But of course I don’t! Does no one want me or what?!” You let out a dramatic cry, sighing. Crossing your arms, you scoffed and pulled out your phone, scrolling through it to try and distract yourself.
Your bestfriend, Satoru, snickered beside you. “Oh, come on. I’m right here.” He looked at you, raising a brow. You processed his words, putting your phone down and lifting your head to look at him. “What?”
“I said I’m right here. What am I? A piece of garbage? You’re all upset about not having a boyfriend but I’m right here.”
“Uh.. excuse me?” You raise your brow, trying to see if he’s implying what you think he is.
“Yeah? I think you know what I’m getting at.” He smiled, his brow still raised. Was Satoru seriously making a move on you?
“Are you making a move on me??”
“.. Well, yeah. Is it working?” He smiled again, his dimples showing as he looked at you. There was a warm look in his eyes you’d never seen before. Like he really wasn’t joking. Like he was really being genuine and that he cared. This was completely different from the Satoru you knew. Usually, he was always cracking some stupid joke. But now? This was just a completely different person. You’d known Satoru for four years now, and never had he hinted he liked you.
“.. Are you being serious?” You blinked, your eyes slightly wide. He nodded, looking at you warmly with a soft smile on his lips. “.. Yeah. Is this.. surprising?”
