The car ride to Nevermore Academy was a one-sided conversation. Morticia and Gomez were telling Wednesday all these boring, mind-numbing stories about their time at Nevermore and how she'll love her time there and that she'll love the scenery and everything about it. Wednesday felt hopeless. Pugsley was denfenseless — but it was at least time alone. Albeit, for at most a semester.

Wednesday knew that she was going to a new school — but she didn't expect to be roomies with someone so... colorful. It sickened her. She always told people she was allergic to color and that she'd break out into hives and die if she even touched it. That was the whole reason her uniform was black and gray apart from everybody else's blue uniforms.

"Oh," Wednesday muttered.

Wednesday looked their new roommate up and down, going to the spiderweb-shaped window and peeling off the colored stickers to keep her side of the room bleak and colorless. The way she liked it. Wednesday hadn't even bothered to learn her new 'housemate's name. She planned to not talk to them much. There was no point in forming relationships if she's simply going to be expelled for another one of her revenge plots.
