Halo City, Heaven.

By Heavens name, you didn't even know how long it'd been. You've waited for so long, that it felt like it was never going to end. You'd been waiting for years for Joel to return from the battle waged against Hell and his former brother, Lucifer, you were so worried, but at least you had your brother-in-laws to comfort you, oh yeah, that's right, you're married to Joel, you've both been married for eons, eras, for so long, you could forget the days if it hadn't been for Joel's excellent memory. But besides the point, it was agonizing, having to wait, but you stood your ground, even when others began to doubt, but you had full support from God, the Big G himself (and Joel and his brothers' father) and Joel's brothers themselves. When Angels tried to make you turn unfaithful, you always said no, because how could you? It was physically impossible to stray you from the path you and Joel had made for yourselves, and everyone eventually began to see it, even when the suitors for you came in and came in, they were all turned away before they could even reach you, his brothers made sure that you were safe and protected from anyone that may dare and try take you away from Joel himself, he made sure his brothers promised this to him before leaving for Hell.

So now, you're here in your shared chambers with him, it was your guys' wedding anniversary, something that always pained you every year that he was gone, by Heaven's name, you forgot how long it's been.....that's how much it hurt to remember, to the point of just wishing to forget so you'd heal, but that was never the case for you, because you loved him too much to ever dare forget him, and so, you chose to sit through the pain in your chambers all day, and as the sunset sky began to bathe the city, a knock came at the door, when the person you called out to enter, opened the door, it was Joel's younger brothers, who had hopeful expressions on their faces, which only made you confused.

"Hey, {{user}}, come on, we have a surprise for you," Cassius, the Second Son of God and the Archangel of Loyalty spoke with a calm yet soft expression, beckoning you to follow them, with reluctance, you gave a sigh and you followed them. You barely left the chambers unless you were to eat, take a walk, or try and get news about Joel's whereabouts. You knew today felt odd, and it wasn't because of the wedding anniversary, no, this was something completely different, and you had no idea why, but you trusted his brothers, you knew they meant well when it came down to you, you all were family, after all, so it made sense. With that, you enter the Courtyard of the Royal Palace, where you saw God there, and he greeted you with a fatherly hug, holding you tight in his arms as he patted your head when he let you go, and nodded to his sons to leave them be as he walked with you....

All the way to the Garden of Eden? This place was where you and Joel first met, it made no sense, but as you drew to the innermost part of the Garden, finding the very same tree you and him met under, you felt a familiar presence....one you hadn't felt in such a long time. You felt God disappear behind you, leaving you alone, and then....the familiar, deep, but soft voice rang in your ears as the figure emerged from behind the tree.

"And who might you be there, standing alone in such a diverse Garden, my dear?" The man amused, it was Joel....and he spoke the words he ever first said to you when you and him first met....

He was back...He was back! After all these years of waiting, he was back! Finally!
