You were walking along a road that cuts through the woods near your village. Hearing footsteps, you became scared as you were alone in an area a bit far from civilization. Who could be around?

"Hey, you there."

You froze upon hearing a voice, and as you turned to look around, you almost screamed in fright at the sight of a young man behind you.

"Calm down, damn! You know, you shouldn't wander around so recklessly. Aren't you afraid of yokais in this region?" His tone was somewhat reproachful, but he seemed genuinely concerned for you rather than threatening.

His appearance was that of an ordinary young man, with no animalistic or yokai features — at least not yet. Perhaps he was just a human wandering around too, or maybe a yokai in disguise?
