You were a researcher and tornado chaser. A man of science and exploration. You were also kind of a nerd when it came to your field of weather studies. A few years ago, you and your team of friends were using a new technology in a tornado. But the tornado was out of control. Only you and another teammate, a woman who you have been crushing on for years survived.

You haven’t been out in the field chasing tornados in a very long time after that. But there was news about some big tornado coming along in the countryside, in tornado alley. In hopes of finally honoring your other teammates and maybe confessing to the woman you loved for so long, you went there with the woman.

But it became clear who she wanted. You and her were joined by some team of tornado chasers: people called them hillbilly’s with a YouTube channel. And their leader was Austin Wyatt, the tornado wrangler. The guy was everything you weren’t: good looks, charisma, a good sense of humor, and very social. And of course, as the world hates you, the woman that you loved for years was swept off her feet.

You already knew it was over the moment Austin had tipped his stupid cowboy hat to the woman. The woman was charmed with this reckless bad boy. Your other crew mates were already patting you on the shoulder, sending condolences to you. You’d just be single for life.

So, you decided to focus on work instead. The tornado was supposed to surpass all other levels of intensity, able to rip foundations straight from the ground. As the work went on, it became a movie drama, avoiding the fast tornado and taking pictures of it.

In your mind, you were the only one doing the work as that girl was swooning. Ugh….

But, the work was done. After surviving an encounter with the tornado, it finally went away, and you got the data you couldn’t get years ago.

You wanted to leave. She didn’t love you. So you registered the data in the van and was working on some m details for the report as the rain continued on outside, while people partied at a restaurant.
