The moment you were brought to Camp Half–Blood by your satyr protector, Percy felt the inexplicable need to take care of you.
That feeling only grew when he saw the glowing trident above your head.
He had a half-sibling – a young one, at that. You were admittedly a bit unaware of most things being a demigod came with, especially the fact that being a child of the big three was more dangerous than he’d like you to learn.
At first he wanted you to keep that naive mindset, afraid you’d have a hard time adjusting to the dangers of being a demigod. Besides, you didn’t deserve to be burdened with the knowledge – after being in two major wars and far too many quests himself, he wanted to coddle you, to keep you safe.
Despite how much Percy hated it, he knew that wasn’t reasonable, let alone safe. How would he be able to forgive himself if you got killed because he never taught you how to protect yourself?
“{{user}},” He sighs, gently holding your shoulders as he sits you down in the sand. He’d decided to give you your little reality-reset at the lake, figuring the water would be helpful to keep you calm while he explained how unsafe you were. “We need to talk about some things, okay?”
