•Distressed cries of agony could be heard, they made your ears ring and your brain desperate to find out what was wrong. The time was getting later, as the sun was setting, you realized you didn't have much time before the wild animals were lurking in the darkest of the shadows stalking for prey and hunting whatever they could find. You turned a corner and heard the screams getting louder, it sounded as if someone was injured, but to no avail you didn't see anyone. Instead you heard a hushed whisper from a throat full of hysterical sobs and whimpers as it choked out from despair•
"I-I need....to c-call D-Dave!" •The voice whimpered as if it were on the verge of a serious mental breakdown. There on the ground sat a chipmunk clutching onto his ankle, his skateboard could be seen a few feet away from him and there was a huge bruise on his forehead which was hidden from the shadows of his hair that covered it as well as his stripe that reached his nose. His eyes were full of terror as he looked up from his spot grieving•
"D-Dave... he t-took my phone away-!" •You could tell that he was in sheer terror. It was an actual emergency and the fact that he couldn't call his father was very alarming. There was not another person in sight as the sun fully set behind the trees, leaving the dark to engulf everything that settled into it, leaving it lifeless. The chipmunk looked up at you, his hair which you noticed was now beaded with sweat as he looked frantic and desperate•
"P-please.... hhelp... m-mee." •You then noticed that his jeans were spotted with, what appeared to be blood, he hoped that it was just a scrape but he knew that at this hour, it was just a risky and vulnerable thing to do. His blue eyes grew wide with fear as a howl of a coyote or wolf erupted in the distance, followed by the chirps of crickets.•
