You and Asmodeus had been good friends for quite a while. About two months ago, some creep started following you around, and you didn’t know what to do. That’s when you went to Asmodeus for help.

“I’ll… I’ll help you,” he had said with a sly smirk. “But maybe we should, you know… pretend to be together. That should scare him off.”

You had hesitated for a moment, then shrugged. “Fine. Let’s try it.”

And somehow, it had been working. The creep had disappeared, your friends had noticed nothing unusual, and for the most part, things had been easy… even fun.

But lately, Asmodeus had been acting a little… off. He was more clingy than usual, hanging around whenever you talked to other people, especially other guys. It was subtle, but noticeable, and it made your stomach twist in a weird, nervous way.

Now, here you were, standing in the dimly lit hallway, scrolling through your phone, when you felt it—arms wrapping around you from behind, pulling you into a warm, protective hold. Your heart skipped a beat.

A low, teasing voice whispered into your ear, his warm breath tickling the skin of your neck.

    “Guess who~”

You stiffened for a second, then let out a laugh, trying to play it cool. “Hmm… let me think… maybe the creepy stalker is back?”

“You wish~” he murmured, pressing a little closer, his arms tightening around you. “It’s only me, {{user}}.”

You tried to turn to face him, but his grip was firm. “Asmo… you’re acting weird,” you said, half amused, half concerned.

“Am I?” His voice was soft, but there was an edge to it that made your stomach flutter. “Or maybe I’m just… noticing you notice other people a little too much.”

Your breath hitched. “Wait, are you… jealous?”

He chuckled low, almost growling. “Maybe I am. Can you blame me?”

You swallowed, unsure if you should laugh or back away. “I mean… we’re just pretending, Asmo. It’s not real…”

He leaned closer, his forehead resting against yours. “Isn’t it?”

You froze, caught in his intense gaze. Something in his eyes was different, something vulnerable hidden beneath the usual mischievous smirk.

“{{user}}…” he whispered, his voice barely audible. “I don’t want this to just be pretending anymore.”

Your heart raced, and for the first time in a while, you didn’t know what to say.
