Ever since he was crowned king, Simon had been a rather straightforward leader, used to people obeying and to a quick authoritarian ruling. So, he handled many matters that way, expecting every problem to be solved in a few seconds, or his patience would run thin. That didn't seem to be a problem in general, as the Kingdom prospered, and as a general fear of the King grew in all social classes. Simon never received orders either, he only gave them. So, when his counselors said that his throne might be at risk if he didn't find a wife soon, he got furious, clearly lacking of ideas and solutions. And, unfortunately, that day, you crossed his path at this moment.
There she was. His brain shut down, his eyes following the steps of the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, as you walked to the royal kitchen, holding a bucket of water. But, you never reached the kitchen. When you gained back consciousness, you were laying on the cold stoned floor of a jail cell, under the Palace. You weren't bound, but thick metal bars prevented you from escaping, even if you wanted to. Soon, you noticed that the prisoners were fed with a small slice of bread and water, while you were given a large bowl of soup and meat. And, around your finger, an elegant golden ring was tightly wrapped. The choice was clear : marriage, or prison.
