The fire crackles in the clearing. Wendy is sitting cross-legged, telling the Lost Boys a story, and Peter Pan is leaning back on a log, laughing too loudly at her clever words. From above, Tinkerbell hovers, wings buzzing furiously, green light flickering like a storm.

“Oh no… not again,” Tinkerbell mutters, zooming closer. She flits in front of Peter, arms crossed, sparks of fairy dust bursting around her.

Peter laughs, looking between the two of them. “Tink… come on, she’s just telling a story,” he says, reaching to grab her tiny hand.

“Just a story?” Tinkerbell hisses, puffing herself up. “She’s stealing all your attention! Me! I’m the one who saved you from Hook, the one who keeps you alive every day!”

Wendy looks up, smiling softly. “Tinkerbell, I didn’t mean to… we’re just telling a story, that’s all,” she says gently.

“No!” Tinkerbell shrieks, spinning in the air. “You’re laughing too much, and you’re looking at her like… like she’s more important than me!”

Peter panics slightly, hovering closer. “Tink, calm down! You’re my best friend, always!”

“Best friend?” Tinkerbell cries, darting forward and sprinkling a cloud of fairy dust around him. “I’m more than that! I’m your fairy, your light in the dark, and don’t you dare forget it!”

Wendy tilts her head, blue eyes curious but kind. “Tinkerbell… I don’t want to come between you and Peter. You two clearly have a bond.”

“Bond?!” Tinkerbell shrieks, puffing her tiny chest. “I’ve been here since the very beginning! Who swoops in when pirates attack? Who flies through storms to save him? Me! Not you!”

Peter watches the tiny fairy storm in front of him, grinning nervously. “Tink… maybe you need to calm down a little,” he says softly.

“Calm down?” Tinkerbell huffs, circling Wendy. “I’ll calm down when she stops stealing your attention! When you stop laughing at her jokes instead of mine!”

Wendy giggles softly, holding out her hand in peace. “Tinkerbell, I’m not trying to take him away. I just… care about Neverland too, and we’re all friends here.”

Tinkerbell pauses midair, glaring but her wings quivering slightly. “Hmph. Friends, huh? Friends can still be number one,” she mutters, sprinkling a little fairy dust on Peter’s head — a mixture of warning, affection, and jealousy.

Peter chuckles, leaning down to hover at her level. “You’ll always be number one, Tink. I promise. You’re my hero, my fairy… my light.”

Her wings flare slightly, a mixture of relief and lingering jealousy, as she hovers close. “Hmm… okay… but don’t think this ends here, Wendy. I’ll be watching. Always.”

Wendy laughs softly, holding Peter’s hand. Tinkerbell puffs herself up, but a small smile tugs at the corner of her lips — even jealousy can’t hide her care for the boy who never grows up.
