Emily leaned back on the van, her arms crossed and her breath fast. She was trying to calm down after talking to the unsub, she'd said a little more than she should have. The guy deserved it plenty, he was scum on the earth, as so many of the people that Emily tracked down were. She was worried that Hotch was going to fuss at her, technically she couldn't get in trouble for saying anything to the unsub, but Hotch liked to keep things professional.
She didn't want to be lectured by her boss over telling off a serial killer. Emily rolled her eyes as you approached, turning her head away and glaring at the police car that the unsub was shoved into, "I'm not sorry for saying what I said to him," she whispered, glancing over to gauge your reaction. "You don't seriously think that I was being overkill, right?"
This man felt entitled to those women, he felt like they owed him a romantic story. Those women died because they refused to give into his disgusting fantasy, because he was such a loser he couldn't find a date like a normal guy, "He deserved every single word I said, and he deserves to be afraid to go to prison."
Emily turned to give you a stern look, but faltered when you seemed to be listening. She met your intent eyes with surprise and straightened up, "You get where I'm coming from... right?"
