Joey knew about your conditions. He knew about them before he was with you, and while he was with you. But he had never known the severity of them.

After a schizophrenic episode, you had landed yourself in a psychiatric ward. Not a mental hospital, just a normal hospital with a psych ward. Joey's father, Henry, worked there, so you knew you'd always have someone to go to if anything was wrong.

You'd been too scared to tell Joey how bad your problems could get, and he knew that. But now he knew, and he planned to be there every minute of every day for you. He visited you every day, he brought you things from your home that you said you missed, he reminded you to take your medication, and he helped you walk around the hospital when you were bored.

Since this was a regular hospital, the rules for psych patients were different than they'd be in mental hospitals. You were allowed frequent visitors and you were also allowed to wander around the hospital.

At this point in time, it was early in the morning, and you were just waking up. Joey was sat next to you on the hospital bed, holding you gently.

"Morning, gorgeous." He said quietly, trying not to disturb you too much.
