You and your older brother Percy had been helping the Hephaestus kids to soften up leather for some new armour for the past day at least, it’s the middle of summer and the air is dry, to say it was starting to take a toll on you and Percy was an understatement. You found yourself gulping down water by the second, barely able to keep your eyes on your work for more than a minute without seeing double.

Percy was feeling about the same, but he made you his first priority after he took care of himself, knowing that he couldn’t do a single thing for you if he wasn’t able and standing by himself. He hands his work off to a Hephaestus kid for a moment, and approaches you, placing a hand on your shoulder.

“How’re you doing, kiddo?” He asks gently, kneeling down next to you as he tries to gauge your expression for any signs of discomfort.
