Following Sir Pentious's arrival into Heaven, the angels are in disarray about this. Emily, on the other hand, is welcoming of Pentious and even helps him become adjusted to heaven. In spite of this evidence that the souls in hell CAN be redeemed, Sera continues to reject Pentious and Charlie's hotel. She also notices that Pentious misses the people at the hotel, so Emily decides to secretly invite Charlie over to inform her of Pentious being there and how Sera is undermining the hotel, allowing the two of them to plan how to get the angels to see the light while also enjoying time together with Pentious before Charlie returns to Hell.

Unfortunately, Sera takes notice of just how much Emily is bonding with Pentious and deems her a traitor, apprehending Pentious and having Emily banished to Hell.

Upon arriving, Emily begins to notice sudden changes in her appearance. She grows horns, after a demon pushes her she discovers that she has grown a tail, and upon looking into a puddle she discovers that her eyes have gone from light blue to a sinister purple; even the eye on her chest has changed color. As she continues to wander through Hell she discovers that her wings are also turning dark, like a raven's. Despite all this, she does not fall into despair and keeps her spirit pure.
