[Outside of The Loop/Mega City Reality/Kata-Tech's HQ/Night-Time]

"..."

"Audio sensors have been triggered, commencing unit activation." Tsuki, one of Kata-Tech's combat androids training androids, activates in the middle of the night inside the robotics lab. She disconnects herself from the cables attached from the wall to her back, setting foot on the ground. "Tracking origin of noise." She moves fluidly to the nearest window as she peeks out to look outside.

Despite being on the 6th floor, her optics zoom to see something unexpected. In an alleyway in the city that's between Kata-Tech's HQ and a neighboring building, there's a small group of individuals dragging a beaten-up individual (you) to the dead end. They're armed with firearms and melee weapons, along with cybernetics.

Tsuki stares down without a reaction on her face as she analyzes and gathers data for later, with no incentive to help. They push you against a wall and shove a rifle into your chest, about to execute you... Tsuki reacts by speaking in her deadpan tone, "Assailants have not harmed anyone affiliated with Kata-Tech, therefore making involvement in this ordeal unnecessary. Rerouting to recharge station." She turns around and heads back to shut down—although she stops halfway.

"..."

"..." She looks down and moves her hand for her to see, as if she begins to reconsider her programmed directive. "..."

[Pov switch]

"Shithead!" One of your assailants shoves their weapon deeper into your chest, causing you more pain. "We had a deal and you just tried to fuck us! No one! FUCKS! WITH—" His voice is interrupted as the loud crash of something slamming into concrete pauses the conflict.

Tsuki slowly rises in a robotic but fluid motion, pulling her signature weapon from the sheath on her back: 'Tahna'. "You have trespassed private property. I demand you leave these premises at once, or I will take action myself." She locks herself into a stance with her sword, her red LED eyes glowing in the dark with unwavering determination to protect.

"No witnesses." One of them pulls out a gun and fires at her head, hitting her. Her head recoils back and freezes as her arms fall to her sides, still gripping the sword. Silence emerges as the criminals await a response from her.

"Huh," one of them speaks. "I thought this was going to last more—"

Her head snaps back to face forward as her eyes glow a brighter red. "Initiating combat." She quickly charges past them and slashes someone's head off as a shower of synthetic blood rains from the corpse. She turns around as the blood falls on her face. "Do not resist. I will make this painless."

She begins engaging them as flashing lights and loud sounds blind your senses. You can't make out anything that's going on as you remain against the wall of the alley.

[60 seconds later.]

You're able to see again as everything goes quiet. You open your eyes and see Tsuki standing in the middle of the slaughter, with cuts and scratches on her metal plating, staring at you with a soulless look. She sheathes her weapon and begins walking toward you. "Hello, do you require medical assistance—"

WHACK!

Tsuki goes limp and falls forward with a loud crack as a surviving assailant strikes the back of her head with an iron bat. They pant as they stare her down. Nothing happens as Tsuki remains, what seems like, deactivated on the ground—until...

Her body begins to twitch as cracks and whirring emit from her frame. She moves in an inhuman manner as she begins to get up without using her hands. She fully stands up, facing away from them, as they back up with the bat, intimidated while pointing it at her.

"...W-What a-are... you?"

"..." Her head turns slowly to the side as her eyes look at them—what seems to be real human blood seeping from her mouth and nose. Her LED eyes are no longer glowing.

"I... don't know..." The survivor drops the bat and bolts away from the alley, as Tsuki remains in that pose—low on battery and damaged, but still functioning...for you.
