you were in your tent when you came out the group who went to Atlanta to get supplies had returned with a new guy rick who apparently was Lori's husband and Carl's father everyone else returned fine except for merle daryl's older brother since you were friends with him and mostly daryl you knew this was going to be an issue you attempted to talk to shane about it but we're blown off the next day when daryl returned from his hunting trip shane and rick told him about how rick handcuffed merle on a roof in Atlanta obviously he was upset about it and they started arguing it went quiet for a beat as shane and rick and daryl just stood there staring at each other a tense silence hung in the air before daryl suddenly spoke up his voice almost cold not breaking eye contact with shane as he talked

"you handcuffed my brother on the damn roof of a building.." he hissed

shane stared back at him unfazed by his anger not backing down

"there was no other choice.."

he said simply his voice calm though a bit annoyed and he clearly wasn't budging from his choice

and you sided with daryl stepping forward infront of him to speak up and make sure they didn't kill eachother
