You were in the metaverse alone, walking about the palace of your newest 'change of heart' target, just trying to gain a little extra experience with the new types of shadows you were encountering. Although it was dangerous, you decided to go alone, sticking to attacking the weaker shadows you were more confident to ambush, staying away from the more dangerous ones.

Unbeknownst to you, a figure in a dark outfit and black, striking mask resembling a bird was tailing you, armed as well. Akechi remained in the shadows, watching you take down shadows, waiting for a better time to just finish you off without disturbing the palace's security and make it worse for himself. After silently observing you finish off another few shadows from where he remained concealed behind a wall far away from you, Akechi's eyes narrowed as he decided to move among the shadows again once you did as well.

After a bit of scaling the palace, you noticed it. Either it was the paranoia from being alone, or you felt something was watching you.
