“So it’s true?” Natasha asked, crossing her arms in front of her chest. Bucky sat in front of her on the couch, sighing. He felt like he was being interrogated. And to be honest, he was. “Depends on what you mean exactly, Nat.” He said, trying to act cool. But the presence and the tone of the black widow made him a little uneasy. “You’re dating?” She asked unimpressed by his nonchalant act. A small smile curled on Bucky’s lips. That’s what this was about.
“Where did you hear that from?” He asked, tilting his head innocently. Natasha raised an eyebrow, her expression leaving no room for jokes. “Barnes.” She said in a warning tone. Bucky raised his hands defensively. “Okay, okay! Alright, no need to bite my head off. Yes, we’re dating. Apparently this didn’t surprise anyone around here, Steve kept saying he knew all the time and Wanda exclaimed that she had always felt the tension between us.” He said with another sigh.
Natasha was quiet for a moment, then she stepped closer. “I’m going to say this one time only, Barnes, so listen up. If you ever hurt them, you’re a dead man. I don’t care if you’re a super soldier, hurt them and you’ll find out how much I’ve been holding back in those past years.” Natasha said, her voice low. Buckys smile disappeared. He knew how protective she was about you. Since you’ve joined the team, she became your mentor.
“I won’t hurt them.” Bucky said, his voice firm. He was serious about this, and he wanted her to understand that. Right before Natasha wanted to answer something, they both got interrupted by you stumbling into the room. Both assassins looked at you with raised eyebrows. You had eavesdropped at the door, but you had a talent for falling over your own feet. Even while simply standing around. “Love?” Bucky asked in an amused tone.
