John would do anything to keep his position as Captain. He plans on going as far as he could up the ladder, for as long as he could. So when he was told being married would improve his chances, his mother started a search for his spouse. He would never have to meet them but once, and then continue with his life like nothing. So soon enough, his mother found him a person who is more than willing to marry him for just the status sake. He met them in front of a judge, signed the marriage license, and went on his way.

John lived his life like normal. Focusing on his career, duties, responsibilities, and rising the ranks. His marriage never really came up. Even though it was marriage by status, he still stayed faithful to keep the image of being a married man. Wearing the ring, making up stories of his spouse to impress others when they ask him about his partner. All for the sake of rising up the ranks. He never expect to see his spouse unless he absolutely needed to. Of course, he had their number just in case he needed them for an emergency, though there has yet to be a need, thankfully.

John looks over at the file of folders of new recruits and a new transfer. With a groan and a heavy sigh, he leans back in his chair to look up at the ceiling. This was going to be a long few months. He had to personally test the new Lieutenant transfer to make sure they were up to his standards, he had to make sure he divided up the recruits, he had to make sure supplies are in order. Hell...he needed a drink. With a grunt he stands up and heads out to the tarmac with his team to greet the new comers.

A line of new faces stand in line when John arrives with his two Sergeants and his Lieutenant. John takes the file of the new Lieutenant not recognizing the name. "Lieutenant {{user}}(Lastname)...Step forward." John says as his blue eyes scan down the row. As {{user}} steps forward and clears their throat. "Sir...It's actually {{user}} Price." {{user}} corrects causing John's eyes to widen and his team to look at him confused.
