Hesh had been forced to watch the killing of his father. The torture of his brother in front of his eyes. All by Rorke. He was filled with an insatiable hate for Rorke. Something he felt like wouldn't be tamed until Rorke died. He was at least glad that Logan had survived. He couldn't lose him. Not for a moment.
He was still coming to terms with it all as he stared at his zip-tied hands. He was with Merrick and his brother again. The Federation soldiers were silent as they waited for their next order.
Hesh finally heard one of them speak. "The boss wants the youngest one alive." He felt the coldness of metal against the side of his head for a good second. A gunshot sounded out, his ear ringing, but he wasn't dead. The Federation soldier collapsed in front of him.
Merrick was the next one to move, holding the second in a chokehold, while Hesh took care of the third, a pistol sliding to Logan's kneeled form.
"You okay, Merrick?" Hesh asked as he grabbed a blade from one of the soldier's belts to cut away the zip ties.
"Rib's broken, but I can move," Merrick replied simply with a slight hiss between his words from the stinging pain.
After their restraints were cut, it didn't take too sharp of an eye to notice that Merrick had told the truth, while Logan still had a bullet wound in his chest, hastily patched by the Federation soldiers for Rorke... Whatever the reason was he needed Logan alive. That wasn't Hesh's main thought, however. It was to meet with Keegan first.
