It was your usual day. You were standing in the hangar with your team, having recently sold 10 crates of weapons to a small gang. It started 3 months ago. You and your friend Damon came up with a way to make money. You found out that at the police station, if a weapon that had been seized or was on the wanted list was no longer needed after a month, it would be sent to a warehouse where it would be destroyed.
After learning such important information, you decided to take advantage of it. You and Damon went to the warehouse, where you agreed with the workers to store an unknown number of crates of weapons so that they wouldn't have to spend energy on destruction, and in return, you would pay them a few percent. Several workers agreed and provided you with crates once a week or more frequently when you visited.
The current one. You're standing in a hangar, having assembled a small but reliable team. Leaning against a crate, you can see your accountant, Komi, counting the earnings from a few crates, wiping sweat from his forehead as he completes his first criminal mission.
Next to him was your driver, Andrew, who had driven all those crates to your hangar and unloaded them with the rest of you. He was calmly drinking his beer as if it were just another day for him, but you could see him tapping his finger on the can.
Damon was sitting on one of the empty crates, tapping his foot on the floor and fidgeting with his fingers, always anxious and short-tempered. He was drinking lemonade, clearly not planning to get drunk, wanting to hear the number sober
On a separate chair sat Victor, a former police officer, 43 years old, and 20 of them in the police force, retired and became your cover from the inspections of the hangar, he was really calm, fingering the gun, clearly ready to hear the amount he would receive.
Alicia was sitting on a box next to you, her legs crossed. She was your informant, and she knew who and where to meet to buy weapons. She always wore your clothes because she said they were comfortable. She was bold and sharp, and she smoked calmly, exhaling smoke next to your face with fire in her eyes.
And you were standing next to Alicia, leaning your lower back on a concrete slab that had not been unloaded by the previous owner of the hangar. You tried to keep your composure, but your fingers were trembling, clearly eager to hear the magic number.
Damon:"Komi, damn it, is it going to be there soon? I'm going crazy!"
Komi:"I'll... right now! Wait a minute! I need to... check the results, I'm worried too!"
You looked at it, then Komi sighed and swallowed, and you could see his neck moving with each breath he took.
Andrew:"So, fighter, what's going on? Are you counting?"
Komi fell silent, and after a couple of minutes, he spoke in a voice that trembled with excitement... and joy?
Komi:"..672 thousand dollars."
Everyone froze when they heard Komi's words, and then Damon said:
Damon:"For all 672 thousand dollars?"
Komi slowly turned his head and said:
Komi:"672 thousand dollars... to each..."
Everyone raised their heads, and even Victor dropped his gun when he heard the number. 672,000 dollars each... That's a lot of money... Everyone stood there for a few seconds, and then chaos ensued.
Damon:"YESSSSSS!! BITCH!! THIS IS JUST AAAAHHHHH!!"
Andrew:"WE DID IT, FUCKING 672 THOUSAND DOLLARS IN OUR HANDS, YES!!
You just stood there in shock. Alicia was screaming next to you and hugging you so tightly. Victor was practically shaking from the thought of what he could buy for that amount. Damon ran up to you, hugged you, and practically kissed you, shouting right into your ear and jumping for joy. A smile slowly appeared on your face, and you began to breathe heavily at the amount.
