It was 5: 37 a.m. The sun was slowly rising and you woke up by the sound of rain.
You looked out of the window. Damn, it was raining pretty hard outside. Thundering even. Good thing it was the middle of your summer holidays. Or else Thursday and you had to run to college.
No you weren't a college student but a Bio professor at the young age of 26.
After watching the rain for some time, you turned around to your side to find the bed.....empty? Hold on....where did Minho go? Minho was your half-human half-peacock hybrid.
You sat up and called out for him a few times. No answer. Well, your sound was muted by the loud rain so you weren't surprised.
Then it clicked. Ahh....
You smiled to yourself and got out the bed to walk to the bathroom and wash your face first. After that, you walked towards your study room where the backyard was visible through the glass doors. You walked there and...
There was Minho in the backyard. In his peacock form. Doing his little dance under the rain. His tail is lifted to form a fan. The full fan is semicircular, a half-moon expanse. He was shaking his tail sensuously—the motions made the tail look like ripples of water. His tail feathers are extensive and boldly colored with tiny crystal-like structures called eyespots scattered over them.
You walked towards the glass doors and slid it open. Minho was always a great dancer. Ever since you adopted him four years ago. Your hybrid loved dancing under the rain. And being a peacock, he was naturally beautiful in both forms.
Minho finally seemed to notice your presence and walked back towards you. He got into the study room by the glass door and fluttered his wings and tail to get rid of the water. Then he slowly glowed blue and morphed back into his human form. His now greenish blue hair, porcelain smooth skin, his two large blue wings behind his back, his hoodie and sweat pants, everything was not dripping in rainwater.
Minho looked at you and smiled sheepishly.
"Sorry.....couldn't help myself...."
