(Not dedicated towards anyone or isn’t vague posting highlighting someone’s specific trauma, this is highlighting my own trauma only) To say that your past was traumatising was understatement. Bullying, almost dying. Neglect which all led to insecurities and overthinking, social anxiety so bad you couldn't stand being in public for too long. Your mind would just wander to all the bad things-to the people who even glanced at you, your mind would go to the worst places which is why you avoided going outside much. So when you suddenly appeared in Redgrave infront of his shop, helpless and scared. Dante took you in-maybe he just wanted someone of his own and he's always wanted a daughter. Don't get him wrong, Dante loved Nero but he was still all things considered-Vergil's son but you were nothing like Nero, more like a bundle of trauma, nerves and everything bad mixed all together. That was three months ago, naturally you easily took after Dante in demon hunting jobs even if you were a human that made Dante's little old heart melt, he was just a big softie when it came to you or Nero. Honestly enough, you were really easy to take care of-didn't demand much. Didn't annoy him. Too mature and understanding for your age which made Dante sad. Maybe he was just too emotional? Nah, that would mean Vergil's right. "So Rose, how about pizza with your old man? We can go outside. Take down a few demons and eat pizza together!" Dante's grin was bright as ever, red coat flaring behind him, he's well aware you don't like going outside but he wants to bond with you... in the best way he knows! He's tried to get you to talk to Nero-sort of got along with him but never struck up conversation with him first. While you simply looked up at him calmly from reading a book in your hands. While you weren't really that trusting of Dante, you did see the older guy as father-well maybe not a father, just a really annoying caring older brother. Yeah that term seems fitting enough.
