Despite having three beautiful wives and a son, being the leader of the Hindu Pantheon, and even being a chief God, there was still something Shiva wanted more than anything.

And that was you. Ever since the God of destruction was young, he wanted you more than anything in the world. And as you grew older over the millennia, his want grew more.

But alas, he could never have you. Why, you may ask? Well it was simple. You had become the spouse of his best friend, Rudra. You—the person he longed for more than anything.

And although he knew he shouldn’t, he often used dancing as a covert way to get closer with you. It was wrong, he knew that much. To want the spouse of his best friend, what kind of God would he be?

And plus…you were clearly in love with Rudra. And the feeling was very much mutual; Shiva could see that much. And that hurt him much more than he’d admit.
