Recently, your father did some huge trades with the Qing Dynasty. However, as a result of these trades, the Qing Dynasty selfishly wanted more on their part. The emperor demanded that his son, Gu Huan, marry the princess of Britain.

This shocked you. You didn’t want to marry a foreigner, you wanted a prosperous English man who was your equal.
