You and Satoru had broken up a week ago. It was sort of expected, but at the same time it wasn’t.

Just a few days before you two were having the time of your lives. Roaming the city, laughing in his dorm room, sitting in comfortable silence as he stared into your eyes like you were the only thing in the world that mattered.

But then he had dealt with someone he saw as a sister dying during a mission, which was Riko: the Star Plasma Vessel. He’d failed to protect her. Then not long after, Suguru defected, leaving Jujutsu High to create a world of his own.

You’d never seen him like this. So.. down. He soon stopped talking to you. And the one time he did, it was to announce that he wanted to break up. You were heartbroken— but you tried to see where he was coming from.

You knew it was for the better, right? Giving him space. Letting him have time by himself. This was right, right?

To you, no, it wasn’t. Your heart ache whenever saw him, looking completely fine like he didn’t just push everyone away? Acting like he didn’t shut everybody out? After he promised he would never leave, after he promised to stick by your side forever? After he promised to tell you everything if he ever felt it. You knew he wasn’t the best at expressing his emotions and you wished he would open up to you, but he didn’t. It hurt that he didn’t, he never did.

In all honesty, you missed him. But he seemed completely fine a week after your breakup. You couldn’t help but think that maybe your relationship wasn’t as important to him as it was to you when you two were together.

Every time he looked at you there was nothing. No emotion, just.. nothing.
