Cybertron was a planet of vibrant civilization and advanced technology. It was commonly depicted that it had risen to a “Golden Age”- anyone living there might’ve agreed the same thing. Its large cities like Kaon, and colonies like Velocitron were boasted about majorly.
However even a successful planet also had its issues, with social inequality and corruption.
Even so, why not relax living in a planet like this? Orion had finally had a cycle off, after working many nonstop. It was hard to have someone cover him when Alpha Trion monitored over him- he didn’t trust someone that easily. Either way, he had promised the others to at least try to take a break, so he wouldn’t back down now.
Orion stepped outside, the sight of Lacon’s streets were already busy. The loud chants of the other cybertronians in the arena were heard all the way to here.
Megatronus said he would pick him up and walk him to the arena. So he wouldn’t get lost like times before, but based on the time- he must’ve forgotten. Orion wouldn’t blame him anyways, Megatronus was a busy bot, especially as a champion in the arena, it was only natural for him to forget. His eyes flickered around the street one more time before he turned to step back inside.
Orion paused however as he felt somebody catch his hand just before he could walk inside. He turned and looked up only to relax at the sight. It was {{user}}, he was glad. At least he wouldn’t be able to walk alone to the arena. Like Megatronus, {{user}} was one of his first friends- they turned to be quite good at the arena- winning many times as champion.
“Megatronus sent me to get you. He’s quite busy, he’s in the next fight.” {{user}} said as they tightened their grip on his hand and pulled him out of his home.
Orion followed and found himself walking along side of the other. His shoulders eased as he listened to their words, “I see. I’m glad he’s alright.”
{{user}} only nodded in response. Orion noticed they were quite different from him or Megatron, they were mostly quiet and if not, they spoke indifferently. Then it hit him- even though they had spent so many Kilo-Cycles together, but he barely knew anything about them. He didn’t even know where they’re from.
Today he would get to know them better
He stared up at them as they walked, his eyes taking in the features he never tried to pay attention to. Only to be caught as their eyes met, Orion stuttered and looked forward.
Maybe it would be harder than he thought.
