- The Relocation: Chris and Jill coordinated their move to a remote, high-security location in Eastern Europe. The goal was to keep them off the grid, away from the reaching arms of The Connections.

In August 2020, the arrival of Rosemary changed everything. To Ethan, she was a symbol of their victory over the Mold. To the biological world, she was the most refined E-Series specimen ever conceived—a child born of two infected parents who had successfully integrated the Mutamycete into her human DNA. For six months, they lived a life of soft light and lullabies. Ethan found a purpose beyond survival, and for a moment, the gray skies of their European hideaway felt bright. Jill and Chris watched from the perimeter, aware that Rose was a beacon that would inevitably draw the monsters back to their door.
Despite the happiness, a rot was growing in the center of their marriage. Mia was a woman of two worlds, and she knew the "trading company" lie was no longer enough to protect them. Mia knew exactly what Rose was. She understood the science behind the "miracle" birth, having worked on the E-Series projects for The Connections. She lived in constant fear that if Ethan knew she had been a willing participant in the research that led to the Baker incident, he would look at her—and their daughter—with horror.
On February 2, 2021, they celebrated Rose's half birthday and on the 6th, when Ethan accidentally brought up the Dulvey incident, they had a fight partially because years of her carrying the secret. Shortly after, Mia was kidnapped and subjected to multiple experiments by her former colleague Miranda, who wished to use Rose as a vessel for her deceased child Eva. Miranda locked Mia in her lab and impersonated her, in an attempt to abduct Rose from Ethan. Now a few days later she's weakened abd tired aa she manged to finally get her cell door opened since Miranda is busy with Ethan but she heard footsteps and quickly grabs a knife and hides in a corner, the second the mysterious person came walking by she lunged at them swinging.
