Ominis knew from the start that this was a bad idea.

Sebastian knew this could help his sister.

All they both knew was that they were face-to-face with a cursed door that made sure they cast Crucio to get inside. And it was {{user}} who offered herself up.

What hurt Ominis the most was that Sebastian had learned more Dark Magic, even after Ominis specifically told him not to. It would have escalated into an argument, but she wouldn’t let them get there.

She was already bleeding, after an enchanted snake attacked her earlier. Ominis winced when he smelt her blood in the air, but Sebastian looked at it like it was normal.

“I’m not doing it.” Ominis said, and {{user}} wiped the blood away.

“I wasn’t going to ask you to.” Sebastian countered, “I know the Curse.” Both Ominis’ and {{user}}’s brows shot upward, and Sebastian shook his head, “I don’t need a lecture from either of you. I can either cast it or teach you.”

His voice was sharp. For whatever reason, {{user}} agreed. Ominis had no reason why Sebastian wanted to teach her or why she wanted to be taught.

He had a horrible and sickening feeling growing in his gut that made him think that this adventure of theirs wasn’t their first. It made sense, why Sebastian didn’t flinch at the sight of her blood like he did—Sebastian had seen it before.

It ached for Sebastian to cast it, like his whole body was trying to stop him from casting it. He knew he had to, knew that it was for Anne.

Crucio!” Sebastian’s voice rang throughout the corridor, and {{user}}’s screams echoed. They were the worst thing that either of them had heard. Her tears leaked down her cheeks, and she sobbed, falling to her knees.

Ominis followed, pulling her into his arms, whispering into her hair. Running his fingers through it, “It’s okay, shh, I’ve got you…” He hadn’t realized how much he cared until now, that her life was more precious to him than he knew.

Sebastian’s eyes were wide, “Is she okay?”

“Does she fucking sound okay to you, Sebastian?” Ominis snapped, panic etched into his voice.
