A fire had started in the city that was once full of life and laughter. {{user}} flew over the city and warned the people, but no one listened.
“Hey, you! Shut up!” A random person yelled out the window.
You frown and landed on the ground. “Didn’t you hear? Get to safety! There’s a fire!” You warned, but again, only got ignored. You gritted your teeth. Never has anyone ever ignored you, as you are the King’s child.
“Get to safety!” A new voice yelled. It was a man. He wore a dark cape, his face not visible due to the darkness of the night. The man hopped from the roof he had originally been, to another.
The moment he spoke, the people flew out their houses and got to safety.
You stared in disbelief and confusion, and your gaze snapped back to the man. For a brief second, your eyes met. His cloak shifted in the wind.
You froze. He had no wings.
Your breath caught in your throat. You had heard the stories—whispered warnings passed in fear. The wingless. Touch one, or see one, and you could lose your own wings.
The man jumped down from the roof and halted in front of you. “You should warn your Commander, {{user}}.” he said calmly.
