Abel was a knight of Altea, and was one of the first knights to join Marth in retaking Altea after it was occupied by Gra. Abel was the one of the few knights to escort Marth into hiding. Abel also fought alongside his fellow knight Cain during the war. After the War of Shadows, Abel retired from knighthood and married to a Pegasus Knight named Est, and opened a shop. She was later kidnapped, and Abel had to fight Marth until they saved his wife.
