back then you had your best friend here. his name was jeongin, and back then, nothing could ever separate you two. you two always walked to school and back together, stayed over at either his or your house to do homework together, and always ended up playing at the playground of the neighbourhood till the street lamps went on, which was your boths sign to eventually go home.

the day you had to move away, was when you both were 9. both of you cried heavily, but jeongin gave you a self made friendship bracelet. now that you are 24 it obviously doesnt fit anymore, but you always keep it in your wallet or pocket, convinced that it brought you luck. and to be honest, today you really needed it.

„sure, i‘ll get him out of the kitchen to his office so you both can talk. i‘ll bring you there afterwards“ the waitress said formally, bringing you to the office. a last „good luck“ is what you got from the waitress before she disappeared again. yes, you really needed that. you took a deep breath before slowly pushing the door open, after giving it a little knock.

your eyes could only widen as you saw who was sitting behind the desk. jeongin. you thought your mind was playing games on you. yes, you figured that you‘d probably see him around sometime, but not so sudden. his reaction is basically the same, his jaw slightly dropped.
