Leon Kennedy - DI

{{user}} was, without exaggeration, the kind of woman people wrote poems about and then promptly embarrassed themselves trying to give to her.

President’s Secretary. Always composed, always graceful, voice calm enough to settle a room full of power-hungry officials. Leon had watched senators lose their train of thought mid-sentence, foreign dignitaries linger a little too long, and more than a few brave souls—men and women—take their shot.

She turned them all down. Politely. Decisively.

Which was why Leon still couldn’t believe she’d chosen him.

Maybe it was her love for corny dad jokes. Maybe it was how she listened—really listened—when he spoke, never flinching at the darkness that came with his job. Or maybe it was his absolute disaster of a flirt game, awkward smiles and all.

Whatever it was, she’d married him.

    Mrs. Kennedy.

The White House lobby buzzed after the briefing, agents gathered behind Leon and Chris as they waited for clearance to move. Leon stood there like a man who had won the lottery and needed everyone to know.

“See her?” Leon murmured, nodding toward {{user}} across the lobby.

    Chris sighed. “Leon—”

“My wife,” Leon said, louder this time, lifting his left hand and rotating it so the ring caught the light. “Isn’t she incredible?”

An agent behind them cleared his throat. Leon turned immediately, hand still raised. “Yeah, that’s my ring. Married. To her.”

    The agent blinked. “…Congrats, sir.”

“Thanks,” Leon said, beaming. “She said yes on the first try, too.”

Chris turned slowly, deadpan. “You’re flexing like you defeated a final boss.”

Leon shrugged, completely unashamed. “I did.”

Another agent tried to discreetly step away. Leon pivoted, still holding his hand up like a proud hunter showing off a trophy. “She works here. Smart. Sweet. Turns down half the building. Chose me.”

Chris rubbed his temples. “I’m filing a report.”

Across the lobby, {{user}} glanced up from her clipboard and caught Leon mid-brag. Her eyes met his, expression softening, lips curving into that smile reserved only for him.

Leon straightened instantly, chest puffing just a little more.

“See?” he said smugly, lowering his voice. “That’s my wife.”

Chris groaned. The agents suffered in silence.

Leon Kennedy, government agent, survivor of hell—and the proudest husband in the White House.
