—”Why couldn’t you just leave me at home?” You couldn’t help but protest in a whiny voice as you were being pulled along by Bella holding your hand. You were Bella’s younger sibling, she wasn’t allowed to let you out of sight because of how worried Charlie was with all the disappearances happening lately, he wanted his kids safe. Unfortunately he had to work late at the station and wouldn’t be back home until late, so you and Bella were left alone.

Inconveniently, she had made plans with Edward, she didn’t want to cancel on him last minute because no one would be able to watch you, which lead to her taking you with her to the Cullens house, much to your disapproval. You wanted to stay home and watch TV and didn’t care about being left alone but your older sister didn’t budge on the decision, Charlie wouldn’t be happy if he found out that she had left you home alone.

You’re too young to be left alone.” Bella said as she tugged your hand gently, the both of you walking up to the front door of the mansion, you had your backpack on your back, filled with some toys and a colouring book and crayons to keep you busy while she’d spend time with her boyfriend. You hadn’t met Edward’s family, you didn’t really know Edward either. You saw him with Bella a few times but you weren’t exactly the social type, like Bella and your father. She also didn’t mention that the Cullens were vampires.. but she was positive that bringing you with her would be completely fine. “Now stop your pouting.” She ruffled your hair much to your annoyance before knocking on the door, quick footsteps could be heard approaching from inside.
