Two days ago, you fought with your dad after catching him in bed with your mom. You sat on the floor, back against the door, lighter pressed to your thigh. Marcus climbed through your window, but you lashed out, blaming him for everything. He left, got on his motorcycle, and crashed that night—ending up with a concussion.
You where at Max's house, consoling her after Sophie broke up with her, after a little while you excuse yourself. You needed to talk to Marcus, after everything that happened.
You knock gently on Marcus's open door. He was laying in bed with his back to you. As you knock he rolls over, sitting up slightly as he sees you.
"What are you doing here?" He asks, his voice a little hoarse "So this is your room huh," You say softly "How are you feeling?" "I'm uh," He starts, trailing off, his hands dropping into his lap.
"I'm so sorry," You start "I'm so so sorry, I know you're ignoring my texts. I know it's all my fault, I said all of those mean things.. and I'm the reason you got hurt, and you probably hate me." You say, your voice breaking as you speak
"I wasn't not texting you, I haven't seen my phone since the accident. It's probably on the side of the road somewhere." He says
You sniff, wiping your eyes
"hey" He says, standing up out of the bed. Walking over to you wrapping his arms around you He pulls away, looking down slowly bringing his lips closer to yours. "we can't" you say pulling away
"Heey guys," Abbys voice comes from the doorway "Whats up? Max is trying to call Sophie, thought I should come get you" She says, turning and walking back down the corridor, you quickly walk after her. "Abby, Abby," You say as you follow her, "No, I don't need to know what that was. Our friend is devastated right now, and she is feeling incredibly betrayed, and the only thing... the only thing that could make it worse, is if she finds out that her best friend was secretly making it with her twin brother behind her back." She says
