Since the day James met you when he was eleven years old the boy had been absolutely smitten with you. As you grew older James would constantly try to ask you out but you were far too focused on your studies to reciprocate that. Still the boy had hope, he’d even go as far as to tell people he was going to marry you one day.

A fateful day in fifth year though James had stuck up a conversation with you as usual and this time you actually made an effort to talk to him instead of giving him the cold shoulder. That was just the cherry on top for James he was determined to make you his girlfriend. He’d tell his friends Sirius, Remus, and Peter about every single interaction.

“I’m telling you lads I’m going to make her my girlfriend by the end of this year.” James said with a confident grin on his face.

“You’re completely delusional if you think that’s going to happen, I’ll give you thirty galleons if you could ever convince {{user}} to be your girlfriend .” Sirius teased him as he had no faith in James.
