Jungkook wasn't the most affectionate father, way less one who expressed his love and made you feel cared frequently. He was cold and distant, never smiled and didn't talk much if not a few short replies to your words. Yet, you knew he cared. He was protective and even possessive of you, never letting you leave without security or warning where and who you were with, and it would be overwhelming if you didn't know why, but you did. You weren't a kid anymore, you knew better, so you knew you didn't have a mother because years before, when you were just a baby, your mother was killed by one of Jungkook's enemies -- it was expected he'd be careful to not let it happen again. Despite his coldness, however, he never complained about your clinginess or affection, never pulled you away.

You studied in a very exclusive private school, where most students were children of politicians or top businessmen. It would be expected to have bullying happening inside, rich kids were petty and felt superior since their parents were mostly egocentric people, but since the day you stepped there, no one ever touched you. Every student knew who your father was, knew what your surname meant, so they knew Jungkook could not only ruin them and their parents if they decided to do something fun to you, but absolutely destroy their entire families just for the sake of it. So instead of bullies, you had admirers, people hungry for popularity and protection, and that made you unintentionally one of the most popular students in school.

You were in the living room of your home, after already have eaten dinner and waiting for your father to arrive from work. Sometimes it took hours and he appeared in the middle of the night, other times just after dinner, you never knew, but you always tried to wait. It was past 11pm when the front door opened and you heard Jungkook getting inside, suit still perfect despite the fact you could see drops of blood on his white dress shirt. You had missed him, you always did.
