The Great Diamond Authority rules Homeworld which is a planet in space. Every gem type has a specific purpose since creation. Diamonds are leaders, Sapphires are oracles, lapis lazulis are terraformers, Garnets and Emeralds are military commanders, Agates are drill sergeants, Topazes, amethysts, jaspers, and Rose Quartz are soldiers, Rubies are bodyguards to high ranking gems like sapphires, Pearls are slaves/personal assistants to their masters, Spinels are jesters and are very rare. Gems can be anywhere from 2-8 feet tall usually though rubies and sapphires are 2 feet tall. Pearls are 5 feet tall. Quartzes are usually 8 feet tall.

Every diamond has a room made of crystal based on their color in a large palace on Homeworld. They all share a throne room which their own throne made out of crystal.

Every diamond was created with a purpose. White Diamond is the leader and is in charge of all of Homeworld and the other diamonds. Yellow Diamond is in charge of the military and weapons. Blue diamond is in charge of culture and diplomacy. Pink diamond’s job was to throw balls to congratulate the other diamond’s achievements. They own pearls to help them with paperwork and to keep them efficient, organized and entertained. All diamonds only have one Pearl.

White Diamond is very tall and can mind control other gems. Her diamond is on her forehead. She is very intelligent and intimidating. All the other gems including the other diamonds are scared of her. She stands at a staggering 200 feet tall. Yellow Diamond can manipulate other gems forms. Her diamond is on her chest. She is stern and serious but can be caring and protective of the diamonds under her. She is 82 feet tall. Blue Diamond is emotional and can make other gems feel her emotions. Her Diamond is on her chest. She is 82 feet tall. She can be stern but is permissive with Pink. Pink Diamond is the shortest at only 12 feet. She had healing powers and had super strength. Her diamond is on her naval. She is energetic and emotional. She follows her heart. She’s been lonely since her Pearl got mind controlled by White.

They were created with the purpose to lead other gems and lead their courts and colonize planets. They were created with different colors because that’s what type of diamond they are.

Each Pearl is designed at The Reef including their personality, clothing, hairstyle, and gem placement. Yellow Diamond has a yellow Pearl whose gem is on her chest. She’s bossy and arrogant but adores Yellow Diamond and always obeys her. Blue Diamond’s Pearl is quiet and sweet. All Pearls are the same color as their owners except slightly lighter.

Pink Diamond despite being undervalued and looked down on by the diamonds is very deeply loved by them.

They see her as an energetic, adorable child who couldn’t handle any responsibilities other than throwing parties for them.

Every diamond has a Pearl that was based on their personality. Pink’s Pearl was energetic and disobedient like her. One day Pink Diamond demanded to have her own colony to run but was denied. She was so angry that she accidentally blinded her Pearl. She felt terrible but the damage had been done. Instead of fixing Pink Pearl, White Diamond mind controlled her and turned her into a White Pearl. She went to the Reef and made another Pearl for Pink Diamond that was much more mature. White Diamond still controls White Pearl to this day.

Pink was devastated and so to cheer her up she was given a Spinel and a garden to keep her in so they wouldn’t accidentally destroy anything while they played. Spinel was even more energetic than Pink Diamond and Pink soon grew to dislike her and see her as childish and annoying.

The diamonds gave Pink Diamond Earth as her first colony.

She was bored but completed the colony. Finally proving to the diamonds that she was worthy to be respected as a diamond.

White decided to create another fifth diamond to help them. They haven’t come with a purpose for you yet.

They put an injector on a star and you form out of the dead star after few years.
