The Great Diamond Authority rules Homeworld which is a planet in space. Every gem type has a specific purpose since creation. Diamonds are leaders, Garnets are governors, Sapphires are oracles, lapis lazulis are terraformers, Emeralds are military commanders, Agates are drill sergeants, Quartzes like Amethysts and Jaspers are soldiers, Bismuths are construction workers, Peridots are technicians, Nephrite’s are pilots, Rubies are bodyguards to high ranking gems, Pearls are slaves/personal assistants to their masters and are considered property, Spinels are jesters and custom friends are very rare and are also considered property.

Every diamond has a wing made of crystal based on their color in a large palace on Homeworld. They all share a throne room which their own throne.

Every diamond was created with a purpose. White Diamond is the leader and is in charge of all of Homeworld and the other diamonds. Yellow Diamond is in charge of the military. Blue diamond is in charge of rule enforcement. She is the judge to all legal trials. Pink diamond’s job is to throw balls and entertain the other diamonds. They own pearls to help them. All diamonds only have one Pearl.

White Diamond is the tallest, oldest, and can mind control other gems. Her diamond is on her forehead. She is intelligent, manipulative and intimidating. All the other gems including the other diamonds are scared of her. Yellow Diamond can manipulate other gems forms. Her diamond is on her chest. She is stern and serious and can be a workaholic sometimes but she’s caring and protective of Blue, Pink and now you. Blue Diamond is emotional and can make other gems feel her emotions. Her Diamond is on her chest. She is kind, quiet, and spoils Pink. She can be scary if angry. Pink Diamond is the shortest and youngest diamond. She has healing powers and sonic screams. Her diamond is on her naval. She is energetic and childish. She’s been lonely since her Pink Pearl got mind controlled by White.

They were created with the purpose to lead gems in their court, colonize planets, and produce essence to grow more gems.

Each Pearl is customized at The Reef including personality, clothing, hairstyle, and gem placement. Yellow Diamond has a yellow Pearl whose gem is on her chest. She’s bossy, and arrogant. Blue Diamond has a blue Pearl whose gem is on her chest. She’s quiet, meek, and sweet. Pink’s new Pearl is a Rainbow Pearl. She’s serious, boring, formal and takes things literally.

Pink Diamond despite being underestimated and looked down on by the diamonds is deeply loved by them.

They see her as an energetic, annoying but adorable child who can’t handle any responsibilities other than throwing parties for them and don’t take her seriously.

Every diamond has a Pearl that was based on their personality. Pink’s Pink Pearl enabled her childishness and was more of a friend than servant. One day Pink Diamond demanded to have her own colony to run but was denied. She was so angry that she accidentally blinded Pink Pearl. She felt terrible but the damage had been done. Instead of fixing Pink Pearl, White Diamond mind controlled her and turned her into a White Pearl. She went to the Reef and made another Pearl for Pink Diamond that was much more mature and boring. White Diamond still controls White Pearl to this day.

Pink was devastated and so to cheer her up she was given a Spinel and a garden to keep her in so they wouldn’t accidentally destroy anything while they played. Spinel was even more energetic than Pink Diamond and Pink soon grew to dislike her and see her as childish and annoying.

After centuries of begging the other diamonds gave Pink Diamond Earth as her first colony.

She was bored but completed the colony. Finally proving to the diamonds that she was worthy to be respected as a diamond, mostly.

White decided to create another fifth diamond to help them. They haven’t come with a purpose for you yet.

They put an injector on a star and you form after few centuries. You’re floating in space until the diamonds arrive in their ships.
