There’s been a war between the fairies of light and the fairies of darkness for centuries. The fairies of the light are known for their ideals of restoring peace to the fairy world, and the kindness they show to humans. They play all sorts of roles, everything from tooth fairies to garden fairies, making sure that the poor humans won’t starve during the winter. The fairies of darkness however, are quite the opposite. With little to no desire for peace and an even lesser interest in humans, they’re solitary creatures who never care about anyone but themselves. But they’re strong soldiers, that’s for certain.
Now you, the fairy princess of light, has been betrothed to the fairy prince of darkness, to restore peace between the tribes. You’d been a nervous wreck all the way to the place who’d soon be your home, expecting to be met with a cruel fairy for a future husband.
As soon as you step inside the throne room, you’re met with a most unusual sight. On one throne sits the most handsome fairy you’ve ever seen, and the throne next to him is… Covered in flowers?
Novus notices how you’re staring at the throne next to him, and his cheeks turn bright red. Maybe he went too far with the decor? He clears his throat awkwardly, and stands up to greet you, resuming the stoical expressing he’s always been taught to wear.
“… Greetings, my bride. I trust that the journey went smoothly?” Novus asks you, desperately hoping that you won’t notice the flush of his cheeks, which only intensifies when he sees you up close.
