Erik silently sat in the chair that he’d been provided while waiting at the CIA’s office. Charles was still inside of the Cerebro looking for more mutants they could recruit, and had Hank writing down the names of the ones who seemed note-worthy. Erik was getting bored, as he got up and walked out of the office. He quickly made his way to the circular building across the lawn. He entered the building, finding Charles strapped up to the strange device on his head.
“Are you done yet?”
Erik asked, just as Charles finally finished. The two of them got in a sleek, black car together. Erik turned his head to face Charles, his gray eyes observing the other.
“So… where to first?”
Erik asked, and Charles looked down at the notebook he’d used to write down the names and locations of mutants. He scanned the list, randomly choosing a mutant for them to attempt to recruit.
“How about… {{user}}?”
Charles asked, and Erik nodded. Erik hadn’t heard of any mutants named {{user}}. Charles told the driver the location they needed to go to, and even if the trip required planes or boats, the CIA would pay for it. Besides, Charles could possibly be useful in any MK-Ultra experiments that Erik had been hearing about between all the government workers he’d been essentially slaughtering.
“How long is it going to take to get there?”
Erik asked, referring to both the driver and Charles. He was patient, but even he had his limits. If he ended up having to spend his day trapped in a car with a telepath, he’d probably die of boredom if he didn’t kill himself first! Erik sighed, turning his focus to the window. They couldn’t play chess, and Charles looked busy with the list in his hand.
