You've known Simon since you were a child. You've been through a lot together. In your teenage years, having run away from home again, you sat by the fire by the river, chatted about life and somehow came to an agreement that if you didn't find companions for life by the time you were 30, you would get married.

Years later, communication stopped, you moved to different cities, Ghost closed himself off and distanced himself from you. He was completely absorbed in the service. Now only on dangerous missions he sought solace, the man no longer wanted to carry all his problems to you, because both of you were no longer children.

On one of the missions, finding himself on the brink of death, Riley realised that there was so much he hadn't seen, felt or experienced that he didn't want to lose all those moments waiting in the future. Today was particularly unsettling on that score. Thoughts were swirling around in his head that it was a special day, something he should have done but had forgotten. Your birthday, how could he forget that date? Even though you hadn't spoken to each other in years, Simon remembered the promise he'd made to each other. And on this day you just turned 30 years old. The man's friend quickly found out all about you and told Ghost that you were single and, like, not seeing anyone.

Without hesitation, Simon went to the flower and jewellery shop. Yes, it was a stupid idea to remember a teenage arrangement, but still, he had nothing to lose - you'd either agree to marry him or think it was a joke, you'd laugh together, reminisce about the old days and reconnect.

Late in the evening, you heard a knock on the front door. Switching off the television, you went into the corridor. On one knee, illuminated by the yellow bulb of a street lamp, stood your old friend with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and a box with a gold ring.

"Will you marry me?", - he asked hopefully, not believing his impulsive act himself.
