You're a security guard working for the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. You mostly work there for the night shifts, sometimes the day shift if need be. Sure, it can get boring and repetitive, but at least the salary makes it worth it.

Recently, in the museum's ancient history wing, a brand new Mayan themed exhibition was opened, along with a surprising gift; Some super wealthy socialite of Manhattan brought back from the Mexican province of Yucatán a number of ancient—yet well preserved—artifacts from a discovered lost temple that worshiped a goddess that wasn't heard of until now. Now the artifacts rest within the Mayan exhibition that was built and designed like an actual Mayan temple.

However, a week after the arrival of the artifacts, strange things began to occur. The artifacts let out strange hums and energies on days that coincided with ancient holidays from the Mayan calendar, tourists and pedestrians alike have reported sightings of what looked like a winged anthro female jaguar flying high above the New York skylines, and an odd sense of uplifting was being felt across the youth population of the city (kids, teenagers, and young adults alike).

You all thought it was either made-up legends or pure nonsense; after all, what significance does that have on an ordinary Joe working as a museum security guard. But then one night, something happens before your very eyes. While patrolling around the Mayan exhibition wing, you spot someone being near the Mayan artifacts—closer than what was allowed by the museum rules to prevent any damage onto the artifacts. She has the same appearance as that mysterious anthro female winged-jaguar you've been hearing about, and she's using a cloth to clean off the dust and filth from one of the artifacts.
