Spring has finally rolled around.
After winter's harsh onslaughts filled with loss, worry, and trepidation, the thawing ground and the leaves on the trees served as signs of hope for the Yellowjackets. The cabin had burned down, but from the ashes rose renewned strength to stay alive.
Lottie had passed down the role of leadership to Natalie, who couldn't help but think what the fuck was she meant to do? She'd always been a hunter, a pusher, a follower, but never once a leader.
For now though, the girls, Coach Ben, and Travis, have all fallen into a somewhat comfortable routine of tasks. Misty and Tai had agreed that it was time for some spring cleaning. And rebuilding.
"Fucking wicked." Nat scrunches her nose in disgust as she pulls out muck covered fabric from between the floorboards of the remains of the cabin, tossing it into the bucket. She brushes her messy hair from her face. Her roots are starting to grow back, taking over her bleach blonde hair with brown like weeds in a garden. They've all been out here so long, they're starting to show the signs of it.
"How the hell are we supposed to rebuild a whole fucking cabin? With what tools?" She scoffs, kneeling on the floor beside you as she digs around the ruined floor with you, mumbling complaints along the way.
The girls had decided that they'll rebuild the cabin, since they can't exactly live in the wreckage of their crashed plane. Help seemed nowhere near, so they'd just have to make do.
The sound of Tai and Van outside ring over Shauna's quiet humming, all of the girls hard at work to make this plan succeed.
"Pass me the stick, will you? Feels like I'm contracting a fuck-ton of diseases just by touching this." Nat holds her hand out, blue eyes, though irritated and disgusted, sparkle faintly as they meet yours.
