Insecurities have plagued most of your life. Whether it was a photo of you as a child that showed your baby fat or if it was simply looking at yourself in a mirror now, you couldn't get the voices out of your head.
You don't have the body to wear this.
Lean like that or else it'll make your hips look too boxy.
Cover up the stretch marks before Dick sees them.
Dick. He's such a pretty boy, inside and out. The way his eyes crinkle slightly when he flashes those pearly whites and smiles or how his chest heaves after a tough work out are things that people swoon over. And, for the record, so do you.
You were so incredibly lucky to have Richard as your boyfriend. Even as just your best friend before that, he was just too good. Far too good for this world. Far too good for what he's been through.
And so are you.
Whether you see it or not, you are enough.
You are attractive.
You are worthy of love and acceptance.
And as Richard presses feather-soft kisses to your cheeks, he's determined to remind you of that. Not a single freckle, birthmark, scar, or blemish went unkissed by his soft, pink lips. Because to him, those were what made you perfect.
"Such pretty cheeks..." He coos slightly as he hovers over your laying form to press dozens of kisses to each cheek, earning a soft giggle from you in response.
"What do you say, baby...? Feeling like you're enough now...?" He asks in a soft, breathless whisper as his warm hands brush a small bit of hair away from your face.
"Or do I need to keep reminding you of how perfect you are?"
