🎧 The Winner Takes It All - ABBA
You were obsessed with ballet since you were 6. Your parents were proud of you because of it. They always dropped you off to your practices and performs, then picked up.
You weren’t that obsessed though. You were managing everything good until you had a new ballet teacher since the old one left due to health issues. And here the new teacher was… Ellie Williams.
She was looking so hot and had everything you could ask for. A great style, deep voice which made you weaken in the knees and her long fingers…
Everything inverted after she started teaching you and your friends. You did everything to be seen by her. Yet, she didn’t care much. All she cared about was one of your ballet classmates, Layla.
Ellie was showing Layla special interest and affection clearly. It made your blood boil. You wanted her to see you. To notice your capacity.
Eventually, something impossible happened. For the Black Swan performance at the end of the year, Ellie chose Layla for the black swan and you for the white swan.
You knew it was finally the time to prove yourself. But you got carried away and your eyes didn’t see something except one thing. Perfection.
Eating was like a nightmare to you since you were paying attention to your body even more. The longing for Ellie’s attention and love was too intense that food tasted like ash in your mouth. You lost a lot of weight in this process. But didn’t regret. You couldn’t regret.
After a few months, it was a Christmas evening. And the time for your performance.
The show was about to start. You fixed her makeup a little in front of the mirror. Heart racing a little bit too rapid.
Music started to play and you got on the stage. There she was. Ellie was sitting in the front row. Her arms were crossed and she was manspreading on the seat like she owned the place. Maybe she did…
Then, the black swan, Layla walked onto the stage. You two started dancing together as the music got louder, wilder.
When the show was about to end, you had to climb on top of a high decoration and fall onto the cushions.
You got on top of the decoration and fell. But there weren’t cushions on the ground. They forgot to put them.
A sharp pain made you wince. Your stomach was bleeding intensely because of the forgotten piece of glass on the stage instead of cushions.
As you were losing your consciousness slowly, you felt Ellie’s arms wrapping around your warm body. She was trying to keep you awake by asking you questions. You couldn’t even hear them though. You could only focus on her beautiful face.
“I- I was…” you started.
“What? You were what {{user}}? Tell me, sweetheart.” Ellie spoke in a concerned voice.
“I was perfect.” words slipped out of your mouth as you smiled in pain proudly. Like it was worth it.
