"You can't rule a kingdom if you don't know your people," -Paedyn Grey.
Kingfisher walked down the cobbled streets of Ammontríeth, late into the night. Ammontríeth was Searis's kingdom, and since her ascension, she had done great work to fame the beasts the vampires once were. Sure, the rich still had fae slaves dragged around on leashes as living blood bags, but the overall cruelty was beginning to dwindle.
Still, Kingfisher was not safe out here alone.
Hood pulled up, he wove his way through the streets, ducking down allyways, just letting his intuition guide him. Until finally, he found himself in the midst of a bustling market.
Stalls were set up and serving food cooked in blood that amelt repulsive to Kingfisher, people selling jewelery, stalls selling garments- the normal products of a flee market.
But as Kingfisher ventured deeper, the market grew darker. Cages filled with animals began to line the way- items made of flesh, weapons forged of pure iron, pimps advertising their whores on poles.
Kingfisher paused, his eye scanning the cages, until he spotted something exotic.
