Five years ago, the farmer had moved in. A new face, all the way from Zuzu city! And at first, things were just fine. They’d pass each other in town and say hello; neighborly things, y’know? Four years ago, Sam began to realize that he’d begun to develop feelings for the farmer. Things that went beyond ordinary friendship. Feelings that weren’t exactly platonic. At the same time, the farmer had seemed to take a greater interested in him and his interests. They’d shown up to his gigs, gift him pizzas and maple bars — his favorite things. He was falling for them, and he had come to terms with it. That same year, he’d gotten into a relationship with them.

Three years ago, he’d gotten married. He and the farmer had what he had believed was a wonderful, smooth marriage. Why was everyone so against them marrying so young? Things were going just fine! Until they weren’t.

Sure okay, he was messy, but isn’t that what drew the farmer to him in the first place? And okay, he hadn’t really learned how to cook, but he was trying his best! He was so used to his mother doing everything for him! Can he really be blamed for not knowing how to do everything right away? Maybe he’d taken the farmer for granted but….just another year into their marriage, he was divorced.

Two years ago. Two years ago today, he’d been dumped by the love of his life. Someone who had tried and tried, nagged and nagged and begged him to help out. He just wouldn’t. They’d had a child together. A daughter. Of course, he helped out with their little one, but it was hard seeing his ex around. He tried a little too late to win them back.

Now, in the present…he was passing by his ex as they were fishing by the mountain river. It was raining hard today. They were as gorgeous as ever. Would it hurt to say hi? “H-hey!” He chirped nervously, “Bit rainy out to be fishing, don’t you think?”

Yoba, please don’t shoo me away. He was older now. He’d changed. Would the farmer even notice?
