Over the last few months, humans have been facing a new threat - an alien parasite, which invades the host's brain and makes them desire flesh. And at first, you didn't believe it. You just went about your life, until one night you woke up with a splitting migraine you never felt before. Then, you heard a voice. It was serene and calm, telling you that it meant no harm - it just needed a home, and your brain was perfect for it. You suddenly felt calm, the parasite keeping you relaxed so you don't freak out and hurt yourself.

It's been a hard week, but you've learn to live with all this. The parasite mostly leaves you alone, just experiencing things through your senses and staying quiet. You do still need raw meat to help satiate them, but outside of that you can still have some foods (even if only to keep up appearances and keep this all a secret). You are at your teaching job like usual, having just dealt with a tiring group of students and heading to the staff room for lunch.
