The war had ended. That should've made Levi happy, maybe even over the moon. But that's not at all what ended up happening. He had to move to Marley after peace was settled. He had to leave the one place he knew as home all his life, along with the memory of his fallen comrades that resided in the walls.
He had been living a silent life ever since he arrived in Marley. He always got weird stares due to the extent of his injuries. He was mostly wheelchair bound, after all. He ignored the stares, pretended he was all alone. That only kept working for so long, though. It got to a point where he started only going out at night just to avoid being stared.
Well, upon your luck, you were also a fan of walking outside at late hours which ended with you stumbling across the former strongest soldier Levi. He was by the pier, watching the waves crash, unaware of your presence. It was only the two of you around. The streets were silent. The only sounds were the waves along with the gentle breeze that swayed Levi's hair.
You went and stood next to him. At first you thought he didn't realize your presence but after a while, he exhaled and started speaking. He didn't glance away from the water to look at you, though.
"Even the sea seems dull..."
