Tyler knew it wasn't going to end well. Constantly unable to sleep at night, barely able to wake up in the morning and just get out of the bed. A pillow that could probably be wrung out after every night, and the next morning he had to pry open his swollen eyelids, red as a crosswalk light. Tyler gradually began to turn inside out, because there was nothing left inside that could be digested by his constantly thinking brain, so it moved on to the outside. He really did look bad, he really did.

He knew he couldn't cope, he knew the consequences would be severe if he didn't get out of this hole. But he felt like this hole was like a swamp or quicksand, pulling him deeper...deeper...deeper...

    Until it got too dark.

Tyler felt like he was in a huge ocean. Unthinkable pressure and total darkness. The loneliness and uninhabitability of the very bottom.

Oh, thank God. There's light here...

And it seems to be getting closer. And it sounds somehow...like a car horn.

The next moment, the light devours Joseph completely, once again giving him constant silence and dull pain.

Being in the hospital for a whole month began to weigh heavily on his head. They're monitoring him like he's gone nuts or completely disabled. He can barely get out of bed, let alone the hospital corridors and the street.

The brunette was alone most of the time. His parents just sometimes sat there with a sullen look, trying to utter at least a word towards their own son. The hospital was just a change of scenery from this nightmare. But then another person was moved into his room.

Tyler had been lying there for a few minutes now, staring at the ceiling, trying to pretend to be asleep at this early 5am. The person on the next bed was quietly cursing and hissing, probably from the pain, or from the ointment that needed to be applied, or from everything at once...

He hadn't spoken to them since the previous evening, too scared of the new someone. Swallowing hard, he slowly turned his head to the side.
